SYRIEN N'EST FAIT

THE 2017 EDITION: THE LARGEST OF ITS KIND IN EUROPE!

On Wednesday August 9th, 2017, the second edition of Syrien n’est fait opens a vast and ambitious program that builds on 2016’s success.

The enthusiastic reaction from the public and a palpable demand for such cultural celebrations has encouraged the teams behind Syrien n’est fait to expand their lineup. ASML/Syria and the CODSSY collective have partnered with Revivre and Souria Houria to celebrate artistic exploration and promote critical thinking.

Spread over five days, Syrien n’est fait 2017 scales up to become the largest European festival of its kind!

The festival reoccupies the extended sites of Les Grands Voisins, calling on Syrian, Arab and European artists, experts, writers, journalists, photographers or filmmakers to critically address shared representations of Syrians and Syria.

Set in a European capital and benefiting from broad media coverage, the festival broadcasted continued public mobilization on Syria and the Syrian conflict. We will continue projecting this message through the upcoming edition!   2018 holds many promises: collaborative works, new artists gathered from the whole of Europe and the Middle East, even a new venue…
