July 21st -24th, 2016: for the first time since the revolution began, a festival in Paris is entirely dedicated to promoting art and critical reflection around what became a complex and unreadable conflict.
As an art festival, Syrien n’est fait brings the focus back to the creative and dynamic Syrian civil society. In the heart of Paris’s 14th arrondissement, it is hosted by Les Grands Voisins, an alternative venue and solidarity project located within the former hospital Saint Vincent de Paul.
From this site, it calls to a Parisian and international audience to experience the rich yet overlooked contemporary cultural scene from Syria. The program is extensive and cross-disciplinary, to showcase the diversity of Syrian art and cultural production.
